I had quite a bit of trouble and excited bursts of excitement.
Monday: “The day of being early, late and latchkey.”
I started the morning after a short night of sleep. I then took myself the the Rail Runner station at Los Lunas.
Read some 20 pages of Hagakure, I became prepared for the bus ride to UNM.
Got there about two hours early, I looked for the rooms for my classes and found then easily.
I decided to go out to see the club entry booths and naturally, I was drawn in to the “Anime Club.”
I after saying “Koncha,” I looked at the table and saw neat stuff. Seeing Konata and Haruhi strewn about I started to talk to the Treasurer.
I of course introduced myself, and the officers did the same. I was quite happy these people were not “Narutards” but actually knew what I was talking about and the same for me to understand them.
Class, in and out, and after a tense Japanese class (where someone called me something in a strange way.) I went to with the teacher discussing stuff and I went to the spot where I was dropped off. Waited a while and read the sign, “Bus for Rail Runner at 15:45.” I was shocked and went to the bus stop in front of the other side of a fast food chain. I waited there for 15 minutes and the bus finally showed up but the bus in front would not move. After a tense ride, saw the train there, I thought ” I am going to make it.” As I walked toward the platform, the train rolled away. I was panicked, called my mom to make sure I was not dreaming it. But alas, I had to call my work to say “I’ll be late.” I went back to the Main Campus and found the Club, and spent the next two hours with them. Then I went off to the bus and rode back to Los Lunas talking with my Mom on the way back.
Went to work, but after that I choose not to remember.
Tuesday: “How to make a day from disaster to a fun one.”
I started to get ready for class, I got a phone call from my Mom saying here car is dead in Isleta. I wanted to go jump start it, but it was too late for me to go and get to class on time. I went to class, thought about calculus and dx/dt/ time dimension. Then after a group of us, including the Teacher, got confused on the days of Physics lab. I called my Mom, and said my Dad got there and jump started it with their Christmas Present and she got home. She came home after that, and I took out the bad battery and went to go get a battery. Came back from lunch at my favorite Asian food place and installed the battery.
Spent the next hour bored, and on the way Home I mentioned some Anime. While bored, I suggested that we should watch some Anime and started with Shigofumi Episodes 1 and 2 and then she asked me “How ’bout the one with the pink haired girl?” That of course is Elfen Lied. Watched the first three episodes and It was time for Calculus III.
Wednesday: “How can one forget thier past?”

I have finally had the slides processed and scanned onto the CD. There are not at the resolution I wanted, but these will do for the meantime. I put these at a manageable res for everybody.
Here you go.

Elfen Lied
I watched this series with the idea of a strong will. I thought this is crazy, the first seven minutes is full of violence.
This series has been discussed before, but I think this one of the best for me. I like how it explores the what might happen if a new species of humans would arrive. Did this happen with the Neanderthals? The desire to kill off the inferior species. It does not matter if the new species has extra abilities like telekinesis. Thought patters beyond current understanding. These beings still have social connections they must find. They want to be with everyone but have a desire to protect their species. They want to be loved but cannot been seen with different kind. The desires of this species to connect with others even if not the same species. I cannot help but think beyond the violence that were caused by small minded humans. Have hate and death born into the new species. A creation of death instead of new life. That is the sad thing. Kouta finding the room in is heart to forgive past sins, and to accept. Nyu/Lucy wants peace with Kouta. I want to see more, but I think the guesses are enough for now.

After a three day marathon of Fate/Stay Night, I was looking into getting a item of specialty from the series. I was cruising amazon when I saw the chance.
I ordered one of the last of the Saber Figma from a third party retailer and I got it for a good price. That was 08/07/08.
Then after hoping my little bro won’t drop by, I woke up on 08/09/08 and looked at the tracking info and saw it would arrive at my house that afternoon. At 13:28 that day I saw a big box there and sneaked it up not to noticed by my dad and opened it.
There she was, a beautiful sight. My first figure.
I put her into a old lens case to hold all the little bits. Velvet lined, hard body and sealed lip. Perfect for Saber.
Got to work, stressed by some things. I took out Saber and did a great action pose and took the first picture with my cell phone.
Just looked back and my stress went all away. I survived the night on these good vibrations.
Now I just need to figure
how should I take photos of her during the week.
Now after looking more into this, I seem to be one of the last people nearby to get a new Figma Saber armored version.
PS I don’t care if it has been a month since the last update. Bite me.

I am shocked that this happened. The death of this person is saddening. I thought that something bad will happen on episode 13 but never this bad. Need to see what is going to happen in the next episode to put my final thoughts on this episode. I watched this episode at work during my lunch break and almost cried but a co-worker walked in and ruined the moment. Damn you!!
Earlier yesterday I spent some time watching the first season with my mom I think she really likes this series. I know she been watching Anime for the past 10 or so years on the local stations and on adult swim. I remember her watching Sailor Moon at 5 am right before she went to work and that is my first exposure to Anime. I hope she does not kill me for this! :-0
Well I going to read some more stuff.

I just read the first Volume of the series I I like it A lot. This has some serious potential that the Anime series did not have. Just surprised that Viz picked it up. About 3 dollars cheaper than a Del Ray Manga and hardly notice the difference.
Negima! costs a lot each issue. I am taking a little break from Manga after I read The Elegant Universe and starting to read QED by Richard P Feynman. I am alternating from study to fun to study. It is working nicely.
Well I’ll be around!

Yeah it’s been like two weeks since my last post. I will say it’s been interesting the past few days for my on just about everything.
The past week I watched the whole series of Zero no Tsukaima and thought it was pretty good and a can’t wait for the third season this fall. The last episode of Kanokon was just as expected and there was actually some tears from Chizuru and that is all that I will say. Also watching Nagarasete Airantou during my lunch breaks to make the day go way better. I still waiting for more episodes of Wagaya no Inari-sama.
Very big news that the manga to Inuyasha had ended and the end I think was very fitting. The final fate for Naraku is a eternity of loneliness for his terrible deeds and Kagome’s decision to stay in the past with Inuyasha to live put their lives in peace. The family of Sango and Miroku is very livley and the Sesshoumaru is the brother-in-law of Kagome. Still I think there is a open question about the well, but I will say it is time to restart the anime and I want to see the emotional moments of Kagura’s end. I like to say I have been busy reading more Negima! and got me a copy of Rosario + Vampire manga and I like it a lot better than the anime and can’t wait till the next volume in August and pre-ordered too.
I also been busy carting my little brother from NMT to home like three times in the past week and that left very tired and cash strapped. I went to a Japanese restaurant for the first time ever here in Rio Rancho. It is called “Number One” in Japanese and the shiro maguro was just melt in my mouth delicious and the tea was perfect and the miso soup was great and a reasonable price. I was so nervous on how I should order and stuff like that. All of the people were true Nihonjin’s but the dishwasher and I liked how they spoke. It is the first time I have heard a Native Japanese in person but it seemed like it was mixed in with Cantonese. Hmmm.
I have me some good books to read for my pleasure. The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene, and QED by Richard Feynman. Yeah I am going to have a mind opening summer for me while I study for my Japanese 201 class this fall and ready to kick ass this fall too.
That is all for now many more fun things to come this coming week.
Sore ja!!

I found about this senseless random act while I was reading the Japan Times and Dannychoo.com. It is truly a sad thing to hear and to even think about it. I send my condolences to the families of the victims and for the survivors a speedy recovery.
I say the guy is a low level peon who could not find a way out of his hell and had to put random people into his hell. A cog in a society that does accept the that person on who he is and he cannot find a way to break himself free of his own purgatory. He will be remebered as a guy that is weak of the mind and his hands will forever be stained with the blood of those victims.
The area of open freedom of being on who you are gets a big wound opened. One of the few places that you can be free to be yourself has been lost as it was. This place I want to go in the future has been stained with the blood of the innocent. The random act of just to see how it feels is a plague on modern society. Giving no thought on the consequences of those actions is scary.
This is a time of mourning and the victims, though nameless at this time, shall not be forgotten. May Akihabara be free for the expression of oneself but not at the cost of others. Let us be of peace if mind and our hearts. We shall live on but without them and we will live for them.

I finally got to watching the first season of Code Geass. Yeah it blows my mind how crazy it is. Had it sitting around for the past two months and just watched the whole first season yesterday and wow.
The summer is finally here and I want to say it feels good to have some free time and just to think about what to do. I just got my Nakama 1 Japanese textbook earlier this week and trying to review the first year of Japanese here at UNM even though I bypassed the first year taking the finals for the class. Yeah, my written Japanese has been pretty good for a beginner but the vocal part is starting to improve. So I need to start running with everything this season.
It has been a week since I last put up a post, but it’s still new and no one has come yet. I need to start an outreach to others and promote this site so I can have a motivation to post on my own website. So not much new there I’ll go try to talk to a fellow New Mexican and see if he would help.
So until the next time.

Yeah another day in the Life of Kouta. The class goes to a Onsen up north to only have to the trip set up by a certain drink of nine tails.

The Hostess has to help poor Kouta on his cleanliness.

The rumors are true!

Yes Asahina loves to drink.
There is not much more than the usual “Let’s try to get in between Chihiro and Kouta.” This week but it was fun trying to see if
